2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA spied less disguised

Meredes-Benz GLA testing has entered a new phase with prototypes wearing a new black and white camouflage. Now that the plastic cladding is gone we can see overall shape much better, along with undisguised glass roof on one of the prototypes.

The GLA is built on the same MFA platform as new A-Class and CLA.

Mercedes showed the GLA Concept back in April and the production model will be a toned tone version of it with a public debut most likely in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

Engine range will include 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines producing up to 211bhp. Hot GLA 45 AMG will deliver 360bhp.

The GLA is expected to arrive at Mercedes-Benz dealerships in early 2014 and will go against the likes of the Range Rover Evoque, BMW X1, Audi Q3 and MINI Countryman.
