2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA caught up close, plus undisguised interior

has been caught again. This time testing in the Alps where our photographer got some close up shots, as well as the first undisguised interior shot, revealing the already familiar cockpit we have seen in the new A-Class and CLA.

Based on the MFA platform as the new A-Class and CLA, the GLA will be available with a wide range of 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines producing up to 211bhp.

Top of the range GLA 45 AMG will deliver 360bhp from a 2.0-litre AMG four-cylinder turbo engine linked to AMG 7-speed sports transmission and AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

The GLA is expected to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and should arrive at Mercedes-Benz dealerships in early 2014, going against the likes of the Range Rover Evoque, BMW X1, Audi Q3 and MINI Countryman.
