2014 Maserati Ghibli spied in Germany

Maserati Ghibli has been caught up close in Germany, showing a similar design to the bigger Quattroporte.

The Ghibli, also known as Baby Quattroporte is an all-new smaller 4-door saloon, going against the likes of Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Engine options are expected to include a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 with around 385bhp and a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 with around 480bhp. A 3.0-litre V6 diesel is also rumoured.

All engines will be most likely mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive system will be optional, though not available in right-hand drive markets.

The Ghibli is reportedly set to debut already next month at the Shanghai Auto Show.
