2014 Jaguar F-Type Roadster spied with a new 4-cylinder engine

Roadster has been on the market little less than a year now and is currently offered with three engines.

Current entry level model is powered by a 335bhp 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine, while in the F-Type S the same engine develops 375bhp. The F-Type V8 S is powered by a 488bhp 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine.

A new entry level four cylinder engine has been rumoured for a while now.

Here we have pictures of a F-Type Roadster with a disguised bonnet caught testing in Southern Europe, which most likely uses the new 4-cylinder engine with around 240bhp, which will be available next year in both the F-Type Roadster and Coupe.

A new more powerful range topping F-Type Coupe with 600-700bhp is also rumoured to take on the Porsche 911 Turbo.
