2014 Hyundai i10 priced from £8,345

Following its public debut last month at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Hyundai has announced pricing for the second generation i10, which will be available from 30 January 2014.

The base model starts at £8,345, just as the outgoing model.

The new i10 features a more expressive design both inside and out with improved comfort, quality and safety equipment.

The new i10 will be available with two petrol engines. The 65bhp 1.0-litre, three-cylinder with peak torque of 94Nm takes the i10 from 0-62mph in 14.9 seconds and to a top speed of 96mph with the manual.

The second petrol engine is a 86bhp four-cylinder 1.2-litre engine with 120Nm of torque, good for a 0-62mph sprint in 12.3 seconds and a top speed of 106mph.

New model is also longer (+80mm), wider (+65mm) and lower (-50mm) than its predecessor, while luggage capacity is increased by 10 per cent to 252 litres with the seats up.

It will be available with up to seven exterior colours and 4 interior colour trims depending on model.
