2014 Hyundai i10 Caught Testing Against Volkswagen Up!

The next-generation Hyundai i10 has been caught winter testing near the Arctic Circle in Sweden, and this time it’s out in the snow joined by the four-door Volkswagen Up!, one of its key competitors.

The i10 prototype is still heavily disguised, hiding an all-new front and rear end design. The new model is longer and wider compared to the outgoing model and is developed at Hyundai’s European headquarters.

The next-generation i10 will get a bigger grille, more aggressive headlights, and more rounded tail lights to put it in line with Hyundai’s latest design language.

The next i10 will be powered by three- and four-cylinder petrol engines, as well as a new diesel unit. A 1.0 litre LPG engine is expected as well.

Public debut is very likely at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
