Honda has unveiled first details and pictures of the new Jazz/Fit. The compact hath will be sold as Fit in Japan and some other parts of the world, while in Europe it will continue to be called Jazz.
Featuring an evolutionary design that reminds us Insight with its more angular headlamps and a larger front bumper, the Japanese spec Fit Hybrid will go on sale this September.
The Fit Hybrid features a new four-cylinder, 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine, an electric motor, lithium-ion battery and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, enabling it to deliver 102.8 mpg.
The SPORT HYBRID 3 Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive (i-DCD) automatically changes to three driving modes by engaging and disengaging the engine and motor depending on driving situations. The three driving modes are: EV, Hybrid Drive Mode for both engines and motor driving that uses the petrol engine only.
The EU spec Jazz is expected to debut soon.
