First images of the the third-generation BMW X5 have leaked to the web thanks to a scale model dealer, Diecast Empire, who posted the 2013 Catalog to their Facebook page.
The styling of the new X5 is not a big surprises and follows a similar design we have already seen on the 4 Series Coupe Concept, 3 Series and the new X3.
Engine options will include a wide range of diesel and petrol units. Top of the range X5 M is expected to produce well over 550bhp from a modified twin-turbo V8. A hybrid variant is also rumoured, featuring a 3.0-litre twin-turbo and an electric motor generating a combined output of around 330bhp.
It is not known yet, will BMW show the new X5 at this week’s Detroit Auto Show or in March at the Geneva Motor Show. We’ll keep you updated!
