2014 BMW M3 saloon spied winter testing in Sweden

Here we have the latest spy photos showing the new BMW M3 (F30) saloon testing in Northern Sweden. Two prototypes were spotted: one in black and the other in white.

The new M3 will be offered very likely just as a saloon and maybe also as a touring. The coupe is now called 4 Series, meaning the two-door versions get the M4 badge, along with a possible four-door coupe.

The prototypes reveal more of the lower air intake design, power bulge on the bonnet and signature four exhaust pipes at the rear.

The new M3 will also lose some weight (around 90kg) compared to the outgoing model.

Under the bonnet is a new 6 cylinder twin turbo charged(could be tri turbo) engine with around 450bhp linked to a six-speed manual or the optional seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch gearbox.
