2014 BMW Alpina B4 Biturbo spied for the first time

Famous BMW tuner Alpina has started testing the all-new B4 Biturbo, based on the new BMW 4 Series Coupe F32.

The body of the B4 is a standard 4 Series one, but there are typical Alpina details like quad-exhaust tips, huge 20-inch multi-spoke Alpina Wheels and blue brake calipers.

The prototype is marked as a “Werkstestwagen”, meaning factory test car in english.

The new B4 Biturbo is expected to use the latest version of BMW’s 3.0-litre straight-six engine(from the 435i coupe) that is stock condition delivers 300 horsepower and 300 lb fot of torque. With the help of Alpina’s engineers the engine is expected to deliver around 400 horsepower, good for a 0-60 mph sprint in around 4.0 seconds, while the top speed should be close to 190 mph.

Other updates will include adjustable suspension, tweaked ZF 8-speed automatic trasmission and also very modest changes to the bumpers, as well as a small rear spoiler on the boot.

The new Alpina B4 is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014.
