2014 BMW 2 Series (225i) Active Tourer caught completely undisguised during video shooting

Here we have the first undisguised spy shots of the all-new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer caught during a video shooting in U.S, which media called 1 Series GT /Active Tourer earlier during development, but as you can see it has the 225i badge not 125i badge.

The production version very closely echoes the Active Tourer concept from the 2012 Paris Motor Show. There are minor differences in the bumpers, headlights, tail lights, side mirrors and handle bars.

The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is the first front-wheel-drive model in the BMW lineup riding on the new UKL platform and will reportedly get the new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder TwinPower petrol and diesel engines that recently debuted in the new MINI hatch.

The 2 Series Active Tourer will go against the Mercedes B-Class and is expected to debut in early January at the Detroit Auto Show or in March at the Geneva Motor Show with the seven-seater to follow in late 2014.
