2014 BMW 1 Series GT Active Tourer interior spied for the first time

BMW’s new front-wheel drive 1 Series GT has been caught again and for the first time we get a quick look at the interior.

Compared to the current 1 Series the interior is quite different, with only the steering wheel looking similar. Everything is re-positioned or redesigned.

The name of this new car is still unknown, but very likely it will use the 1 Series designation.

Details about the powertrain are still purely speculative, though we expect to see something similar as found on the Concept Active Tourer, which was shown at the 2012 Paris Auto Show featuring a 1.5-litre TwinPower Turbo engine and an electric motor with a combined output of 187bhp and 200NM of torque. 0-62 mph in eight seconds with the top speed approximately 124 mph and range on purely EV power up to 18 miles.

This all-new Bimmer is expected to debut later this year with sales starting in early 2014.
