2014 Audi A8 and S8 facelift revealed [videos]

Audi has revealed the facelifted 2014 A8/S8 range, featuring a fresh front with an updated front bumper, front grille and innovative MatrixBeam LED lights. At the rear are new flatter trapezoidal twin exhausts and flatter LED tail lights.

There are also illuminated LED turn signals, a more sculpted bonnet, chrome strips and high-gloss black window frames.

New boot layout offers 10 litres more space and new tech features include active lane keep assist and auto parking with 360-degree cameras.

The engine lineup starts with a 251bhp 3.0 TDI, the 4.2-litre TDI V8 has now 380bhp and 850m of torque. The 3.0 TFSI produces 306bhp and the 4.0 TFSI petrol packs 429bhp.

The A8 Hybrid is the only model without the all-wheel quattro system, using a 2.0-litre TFSI and an electric motor for a combined output of 241bhp and 480 Nm of torque. The petrol engine drives the front wheels while the electric motor powers the rear axle.

The A8 L W12 quattro continues to use a 6.3-litre engine with 494bhp, while the S8 packs 512bhp from a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI.

The facelifted A8/S8 will make its public debut next month in Detroit with first cars arriving here in UK in early 2014.

Pricing details will be announced closer to market launch.
