2014 Audi A8 facelift priced from £58,800

The updated Audi A8 range made its debut last month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

On sale now, the new A8 is now available to order with prices starting from £58,800, with first deliveries in January 2014.

The facelifted model features a new front with an updated front bumper, front grille and innovative MatrixBeam LED lights. Rear comes with new flatter trapezoidal twin exhausts and flatter LED tail lights. Other exterior updates include illuminated LED turn signals, a more sculpted bonnet, chrome strips and high-gloss black window frames.

Revised boot offers 10 litres more space and new tech features include active lane keep assist and auto parking with 360-degree cameras.

The A8 LWB is now 13cm longer offering even more room for rear passengers.

The entry level model uses a 251bhp 3.0 TDI, the 4.2-litre TDI V8 has now 380bhp and 850m of torque. The 3.0 TFSI produces 306bhp and the 4.0 TFSI petrol packs 429bhp.

The A8 Hybrid uses a 2.0-litre TFSI and an electric motor for a combined output of 241bhp and 480 Nm of torque, making it the only model to come without the all-wheel quattro system. The petrol engine drives the front wheels while the electric motor powers the rear axle.

The A8 L W12 quattro is powered by a 494bhp 6.3-litre engine, while the S8 packs 512bhp from a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI.

Currently the most expensive model in the range is the S8, which starts at £79,900.

Pricing for the A8 W12 LWB will be announced later.
