2014 Audi A3 Saloon Prototype Spied for the First Time

Here we have the first pictures of the upcoming four door Audi A3 Saloon, which was caught testing in Southern Europe. The prototype has a disguised front and was captured from a pretty far distance, but you can still easily identify the new A3 front.

The car is already known as the spiritual successor to the Audi 80 and will join the three and five door A3 variants sometimes in late 2013.

Based on VW’s new MQB modular platform the engine choices are expected to be identical to the already launched three and five door variants. Top of the range RS3 is likely to use the current five-cylinder turbo. A 1.4-litre turbo hybrid is also rumoured.
