2013 Volkswagen Golf (mkVII) R & GTI Spied

The new Volkswagen Golf VII will be shown to the public very soon. Here we have the latest spy photos of the range topping GTI and Golf R.

The Golf R was caught yesterday near the Nürburgring with heavy disguise. We can see the new exhausts and also little bit of the interior. The double exhausts on each side are very similar to the ones on the new Audi S3.

Compared to the outgoing model, the Golf VII will be longer and wider. It looks lower, sportier and more aggressive.

In addition to the new Golf R we can show you the new GTI pictures. The main difference between these two prototypes are the exhausts – GTI only has a single exhaust at the left and right side, while the hot Golf R has double exhausts on both side. Of course there are more model specific differences under the heavy disguise.

Both the Golf R and GTI are expected to use the new 2.0 litre turbo petrol, that in the Golf R will produce around 300bhp. All-wheel drive will be offered as well…
