Mitsubishi will debut an Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show in September.
The Outlander Plug-In Hybrid EV features a petrol engine and two electric motors (one front, one rear), enabling the crossover to have a four-wheel drive system and three different drive modes:
Pure (Twin Motor 4WD EV)
Series (Twin Motor 4WD – EV supported by generator)
Parallel (ICE engine supported by Twin Motor 4WD)
Mitsubishi will launch the new model next year, promising similar specifications as that of the Concept PX-MiEV II show car. That means range around 500 miles, average fuel consumption of 169.5mpg and CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km.
