Last week week brought you first spy photos of the upcoming BMW i3 prototype from snowy Sweden. Below we have the first video of this new electric city car drifting on snow.
The i3 features an aluminium chassis and a passenger cell made of lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced plastic. This new premium class city car is powered by an electric motor on the rear with around 150bhp. Range from a full charge is expected to be up to 124 miles and top speed around 90mph.
The i3 is scheduled to go on sale in 2013, and BMW plans to sell at least 30,000 units a year, with production taking place at the Leipzig plant, where the i8 sports car will be produced as well. Prices are expected to start from £35,000.
