2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed - Fastest Four-Seat Convertible in the World

Following last week’s leaked photos, Bentley has revealed all the official details along with high quality images of the new 2013 Continental GT Speed Convertible, that will debut later this month at the Detroit Auto Show.

Just like the coupe, the convertible is powered by a 616bhp twin-turbo W12 6.0-litre engine with 800 Nm of torque.

With a top speed of 202mph, the Continental GT Speed Convertible is the world’s fastest four-seat convertible. 0-60mph comes in 4.1 seconds.

Exterior highlights include exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels, dark-tint grilles and ‘rifled’ exhaust tail pipes, while the handcrafted cabin features the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard, boasting quilted diamond leather, dark aluminum inserts and an optional carbon fiber trim.

Compared to the standard GT model, the GT Speed Convertible is 10mm lower with stiffer suspension, uprated roll-bars and the Servotronic steering has also been recalibrated for the Speed specification.

The permanent all-wheel drive is biased 60:40 in favour of the rear.

The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible will go on sale before the coming summer, with an expected starting price of £164,000.
