2012 BMW 1 Series Prototype Spied In Munich [VIDEO]

2012 BMW 1 Series 5-door

2012 BMW 1 Series 5-doorWe have seen the next-generation BMW 1 Series testing in various locations. The video footage below comes from the Munich area, where BMW does lot of its testing. The prototype in the video does not reveal anything breaking, but compared to photos we have seen before, it gives us a better view of its proportions, mainly thanks to the Audi A3 that follows it in one part of the video.

Codenamed F20, the new 1 Series will remain a rear-wheel drive vehicle, and will be offered with a wide range of petrol and diesel engines, including turbocharged petrol engines with three and four cylinders.

New 1 Series is expected to go on sale in early 2012 as a three and five-door hatchback, followed later by the coupe and convertible variants.
