2012 Audi Q3 prototype frontThese are the latest images of the 2012 Audi Q3, that is based on the Volkswagen Tiguan featuring a sloping roofline similar to the Cross Coupe Quattro Concept from the 2007 Shanghai Motor Show.

For sportier driving, the Q3 has a specially tuned suspension. Most of the engines and transmissions are expected to carry over from the Tiguan, though nothing is official at this point.

The production of the Q3 will take place at the Seat factory in Martorell, Spain. Earlier reports have stated that the Audi Q3 will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Newest ones are already talking about a Shanghai or Geneva debut, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see it already in person next month.
