Between 1909 and 1953 Morgan built around 30,000 Threewheelers in Malvern plus many more were made under license by Darmont Morgan in France.
Now over half a century later the iconic Threewheeler will make its return. The new 2011 Morgan Threewheeler is powered by a 1,800cc ‘V twin’ Harley-Davidson engine with 100bhp. Power is sent to the rear wheel via five-speed manual transmission from a Mazda5.
Weighing just 500 kg, it reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has an estimated top speed of 115 mph. No word on the pricing yet, but we’ll keep you updated as this is definitely one of the new arrivals we want to test drive in 2011.
